I'll dominate 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's bout.

Former twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, regularly earning huge earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
